Give On-line Now to Ministry Budget --- Jabez Project --- Truth Be Told Media ministry
Our passion for giving God the tithe and offering is grounded in a deep appreciation for how much God has given us. God calls us to give like He gives (John 14:27; Luke 22:19). God gives graciously, abundantly, and deliberately. If you want to know how God has given all you need to do is look at the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. God has given us everything for forgiveness of sins, eternal life, and hope today!
A strong and healthy church body must have people committed to giving like God gives. There are numerous churches who fall short of their ministry potential and impact because the people of God do not give of their finances and other resources in such a way that maximizes Kingdom impact.
At Victory Life we are committed to achieving maximum Kingdom impact. What does this look like? It means that we have dynamic children’s ministries, student and university ministries, family ministries, and effective media and missions ministries. It means that we have such strong giving that we are able to accomplish all God puts before us in the future.
There are two primary giving avenues the Scriptures highlight for God’s people: The Tithe and Offerings.
What about the tithe? The word tithe means tenth and refers to the first ten percent of all our income. The Bible tells us that the tithe belongs to God, is to be immediately set aside for Him (Leviticus 27:30), and is to be brought to the storehouse (Malachi 3:10). Today, that storehouse is the local church. Again, if we are going to have dynamic ministries and be able to serve our community and meet needs, then God’s people must be obedient in this area. This area of giving will set the tone for your life spiritually because it clearly puts God first in all things.
What about above the tithe offerings? While the tithe amount is set (10% of gross income) the giving of offerings is to be determined between you and God. Giving a special above the tithe offering towards the Jabez Project is a good example of this level of giving.
